Welcome to the website of Sutton Music Service. The Music Service was first established during the late 1960s and now exists as part of the London Borough of Sutton's School Improvement Service (SIS). The aim of the SIS is to provide the highest quality of support to raise standards for all Sutton learners. It is our belief that music has an important role in this and has a unique contribution to make in the education of all children and young people. Sutton Music Service therefore aims to create opportunities which will deepen the interest and skills of children and young people through providing a range of musical and social experiences. In June 2009 we were visited by a Music Service Evaluation Partner as part of the Federation of Music Services' evaluation programme, funded by the DCSF.
