Halls Green Weekend
Friday 16 to Sunday 18 May
Following the success of last year's trip we are taking players in Years 3-6 to Halls Green Adventure Centre in May 2010.
The weekend will give excellent opportunities for making music and making friends. There is a heated swimming pool, an assault course and plenty of space for playing football etc. The centre is about a 40 minute drive from Sutton. A meeting for parent's of children going on this weekend will take place at Wandle Valley School, Carshalton at 6.15pm on Monday 10 May.
KS2 Whole Class Instrumental Festival - Fairfield Halls
Thursday 17 June
Fourteen Sutton schools will be participating in our annual celebration on Whole Class Instrumental Tution at Fairfield Halls on Thursday 17 June at 7pm.
KS2 pupils from Abbey Primary, Avenue Primary, Barrow Hedges Primary, Brookfield Primary, Cheam Common Junior, Dorchester Primary, High View Primary, Nonsuch Primary, Robin Hood Junior, Stanley Park Junior, St Elphege's RC Junior, St Mary's RC Junior School, Tweedale Primary and Westbourne Primary will be joined on stage by Sutton Youth Symphonic Band in what is sure to be a night to remember.

SYSB & YMTO Schools' Concert Day - Sutton Baptist Church
Tuesday 21 June
Sutton Youth Symphonic Band and Young Musicians Training Orchestra perform a day of special concerts for children from Sutton primary schools at Suton Baptist Church.
Wednesday Music School Concert - Wandle Valley School Carshalton 6.00pm
Wednesday 30 June
Our Wednesday Music School launched in September 2009 offering instrumental tuition on violin, 'cello, clarinet and flute. To mark the end of the first year of Wednesday Music School we will be inviting all of the pupils to perform in this concert. For some pupils, this will be their first public performance!

Sutton Youth Brass Ensemble & Sutton Junior Brass Ensemble
National Festival of Music For Youth, Birmingham

Sutton Junior Brass Ensemble and Sutton Youth Brass Ensemble will be performing at the Birmingham Conservatore as part of this year's National Festival of Music For Youth.
Saturday Music School Workshop Morning
Saturday 10 July
For the last session before the summer holidays, Saturday Music School pupils will spend the morning working with our team of expert tutors in a series of workshops.
SYMSA Barbeque at the Oaks Park
Monday 12 July 5.00-7.00pm (weather permitting)
At the suggestion of the Student Council, SYMSA will be hosting an end of term barbeque for all ensemble members, their parents and families as well as tutors and friends of the Music Service at the Oaks Park in Carshalton Beeches. The cost will be £2 per adult and £1 per child - please bring your own meat for the barbeque.
Czech Republic Tour
Monday 19 to Sunday 26 July
For 2010 we are planning a concert tour to the Czech Republic. Provisional dates for the tour are 19 to 26 July 2010. The tour is for ensemble members in Year 9 and above who are Grade 5 or equivalent standard on their instrument. Please click here for further details.
