University of Kent Music Scholarships
The University of Kent has a thriving programme of music-making for all students, together with staff and the local community – including a 200 strong chorus, chamber choir, concert and big bands, symphony orchestra and music theatre. There is a whole range of concerts at the Canterbury campus featuring music of every kind, from classical and jazz to world and folk. Workshops are held with visiting musicians, and the University has an exciting partnership with the world-renowned Brodsky Quartet.
Thanks to a generous donation from the Colyer-Fergusson Charitable Trust, the University is currently building a new centre for Music Performance on its Canterbury campus. The Colyer-Fergusson Building will be adjacent to the Gulbenkian Theatre complex to create an Arts hub, and will be completed in summer 2012.
Music scholarships worth up to £5,000 a year are awarded to talented singers and instrumentalists studying for any degree at the University. For further information visit www.kent.ac.uk/music
