Saturday Music School

Saturday Music School was established in 1999 with funds from what was then the Department for Education and Skills. Based at Wandle Valley School, the music school takes place on Saturday mornings and provides lessons on viola, double bass, oboe, bassoon, french horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba and percussion. There is also a Percussion Ensemble which is open to pupils who are having lessons on percussion or drums elsewhere. The highly subsidised cost of £35 per term also incorporates theory and aural tuition as well as instrument hire where necessary. All pupils are required to join a borough ensemble after a period of two terms’ tuition.
